The LAIKA ABDUCTION THEORY are a band, calling upon the influences of 60’s garage rock, 70’s Glam space rockers Hawkwind & Roxy Music, the more experimental punk era outfits such as Cabaret Voltaire & Pere Ubu, laid over a bedrock of Pixies, Mudhoney and Swervedriver , in order to consolidate their musical mission from Mars…apparently.

On November 3, 1957, the U.S.S.R. stunned the world with a space sensation - the launch of Sputnik 2
with a live dog on-board.
But many details of what happened to the mission have only recently been revealed.
The Soviet press boasted about the 250-pound object equipped with a cabin,
providing all the necessary life support for a dog named Laika.
Theories have abounded since the 50s about Laika's fate in the days, months and years following the launch
but evidence recently unearthed points to an alarming conclusion:
Laika was abducted from Sputnik 2 on or around November 6, 1957.
A dying alien race in a desperate search for genetic cloning material stumbled across Laika and the craft.
Using orgone accumulation and advanced stem cell engineering techniques, the aliens used Laika to re-populate their kind.
In many circles this has become known as the Laika Abduction Theory.
